Czech Republic: Chamber of Deputies adopts resolution on whistleblowing bill, sets deadline for amendments

The Committee on Public Administration and Regional Development of the Chamber of Deputies adopted, on 10 June 2021, at its 55th meeting, a resolution, following a discussion on the Government’s bill for the protection of whistleblowers. In particular, the resolution highlights that the discussion of the bill in the general debate has been interrupted and that the deadline for tabling amendments to the Committee Secretariat has been set to 30 June 2021. Furthermore, the resolution requests the Ministry of Justice to send reasoned opinions on these amendments by 7 July 2021.
